At a meeting with superior officers at the Kremlin, President Vladimir Putin stressed that to oppose contemporary threats – terrorism, organised crime, the circulation of drugs, illegal migration – it is necessary to strengthen political stability in the country, to solve social issues and develop the economy.
One of the conditions for coping with these tasks is an effectively functioning mechanism of law-enforcement bodies.
The President ordered the leadership of the entire law-enforcement bloc to make serious conclusions from the recent events in Ingushetia and the terrorist acts in Chechnya, give an objective assessment of the actions of their subordinates, and take all measures necessary to reliably ensure the security of Russia and her citizens.
