During a press conference after Russo-Belarussian talks, Vladimir Putin said that Belarus would take an independent decision on introducing the Russian rouble as its currency, after it had evaluated the correct nature of this move.
The transition to a single currency will undoubtedly be a step forward for both countries, increase their prosperity, and improve their defence capabilities and security, Vladimir Putin stressed.
