Mr Putin discussed with ministers issues of providing aid to victims of the terrorist act in North Ossetia.
Minister for Health and Social Development Mikhail Zurabov reported that a list of people who need financial aid is ready and has already been given to the Finance Ministry. This week first 600 people will be able to receive a compensation.
Furthermore, over 27 million rubles has already been paid to over 200 victims from the North Ossetian budget. Every child is also given 5,000 rubles for a month of treatment at sanatoriums. A total of 262 people from Beslan have already gone to resorts on the Black Sea coast. The Government is preparing a decree determining the objects that are to be built and reconstructed on the territory of Beslan: two schools, medical, rehabilitation and social centres, and also housing for medical personnel, social workers and teachers.
The head of state charged Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov with creating an effective mechanism of control for implementing measures to liquidate the consequences of the terrorist act in Beslan. This must be done in such a way that there are no violations, Mr Putin stressed.
