President Putin expressed his gratitude to Mr Escobar for his excellent and active work in preparing for the 12th meeting of leaders of nations of the Asian and Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum, and gave a high assessment of Chile’s responsible and constructive approach to the problems of the APEC agenda.
Mr Putin believes that it is quite justified to put the problem of personal security in first place, and to give particular importance to issues of cooperation in opposing the threat of international terrorism.
President Putin also said that he was certain that the results of the summit would broaden the forum’s potential, increase its role in international and regional affairs, and would also help to strengthen security, and the further economic development and prosperity of the Pacific region.
