At a meeting with members of the Constitutional Court, Vladimir Putin said that the Constitution was passed in a difficult period of Russian statehood, and the Court was formed as the main keeper, protector and interpreter of the Constitution without any wavering or unnecessary political considerations.
The Constitutional Court has not simply justified its purpose, it is gained considerable authority. In many ways, it has been possible to restore the legal unity of Russia thanks to the efforts of the Constitutional Court, which played a key role in this work from a legal and intellectual standpoint.
