Mr Gref informed the President that the Ministry of Trade and Economic Development would soon complete work on a medium-term economic development programme for the country and would have it ready for examination by the government by the end of this March.
The programme takes into account the need to simplify tax and customs administration and to ensure an unambiguous and effective interpretation of legal norms.
Mr Gref also presented to Mr Putin the results of a study carried out by the Council for Foreign Investment. The study shows that 71 percent of the representatives of foreign companies working on the Russian market see corruption as the greatest obstacle to developing business in Russia.
