Following the meeting between the leaders of Russia, France, Germany and Spain, President Vladimir Putin expressed the hope that this new European four-country format would help to strengthen stability, cooperation and the development of a multilateral integration process in Europe.
Mr Putin stressed that Europe must be a continent free from the burden of stereotypes and dividing lines.
The common aim of the four countries’ cooperation is to build a unified democratic world order founded on the supremacy of international law, mutual respect for each others’ interests and the equal protection of all countries’ security.
