The Government must determine as soon as possible the list of measures in the tax sphere directed towards supporting the development of the economy, Vladimir Putin announced at a meeting with members of Government.
Speaking at the meeting with representatives of Russian business community organisations on 24 March 2005, Mr Putin said that creating a competitive tax system was an important stimulus to developing the economy. The Government was charged with preparing proposals on regulating a series of procedures of tax control and tax administration.
The President also asked the Government to start preparing a draft law on periods of limitation for privatisation deals. At a meeting with entrepreneurs, Mr Putin spoke in favour of reducing periods of limitation on such deals from ten to three years.
