The Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Kyrgyz Republic on the status and conditions of the stationing of the Russian airbase on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic was signed in Moscow on 22 September 2003.
The Agreement helps to support peace and stability in the Central Asian region, serves the long-term strategic interests of the Russian Federation, and also creates a legal basis for the functioning of the Russian airbase on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The ratification of the Agreement does not involve any changes in Russian legislation.
