By 2015, ”Rosneft“ plans to increase oil output to 128 million tonnes and, within the next few years, to become the Russian company that extracts the largest volume of oil.
The head of the company told Vladimir Putin about various projects in which the company is currently involved.
On the first of October, the project ”Sakhalin — 1“ will be put into action. S. Bogdanchikov explained that this project foresees the construction and completion of a new Sakhalin – Komsomolsk-on-Amur – Khabarovsk pipeline in 2006.
The consortium ”Sakhalin – 1“ also envisages the construction of additional pipelines that will transport natural gas to world markets.
The discussion also touched on the project of an eastern pipeline which will pass through Eastern Siberia, Yakutia, the Irkutsk Region, and the Krasnoyarsk Region.
The first projects which will start working towards filling the eastern pipeline, are ”Vankor“ (“Rosneft“) and ”Talakan“ (“Surgutneftegaz“).
