Working meeting with Director of the Federal Drugs Control Service Viktor Cherkesov.
Mr Cherkesov reported to the President on the results of his agency’s work in 2005.
The Collective Security Treaty Organisation member states have set up a structure to coordinate the activities of all agencies involved in combating drugs trafficking, and exchange of operational information is now underway between them, Mr Cherkesov said.
More than 80,000 criminal proceedings were instigated in 2005, of which more than 60,000 were for drug dealing, Mr Cherkesov said.
