At a press conference in the Kremlin following Russian-Indian talks, Vladimir Putin said that similar geopolitical and economic interests and a shared responsibility for security and stability in the region and the world, are the traditional issues that unite India and Russia.
During the talks with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh the prospects for bilateral business cooperation were the first topic of discussion. Primarily, this refers to sectors where there is great potential for cooperation such as energy, telecommunications, space exploration and transport infrastructure.
They paid special attention to the necessity of increasing the magnitude and the diversification of trade, and to stimulating mutual capital investment.
