Settling problems concerning Algerian debts to Russia was the main result of President Vladimir Putin's visit.
After the Russian-Algerian talks the following agreements were signed: Convention on Avoiding Double Taxation, an intergovernmental agreement on the encouragement and mutual protection of capital investments, and a cooperation agreement between the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Algerian Chamber of Industry.
