Speaking at a meeting of the Council for the Implementation of National Projects, President Vladimir Putin said that the problems encountered in the projects’ implementation are mainly systemic management issues. Furthermore, general barriers to effective market regulation still remain in place.
The President called on regional leaders to gain a deeper understanding of the conditions for implementing the national projects and to come up with more carefully prepared proposals.
Present at the meeting were: First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Regional Development Minister Vladimir Yakovlev, Education and Science Minister Andrei Fursenko, Healthcare and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov and Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev.
