The meeting examined urgent measures to stop the spread of HIV-AIDS in Russia.
Before the meeting began, Mr Putin spoke with Mikhail Mashkovtsev, the Governor of Kamchatka Region, about the situation following an earthquake that hit the Koryak Region. The President said that, acting on his instructions, Emergency Situations Ministry personnel have already begun work in the areas affected by the earthquake.
