Mr Putin congratulated the football players on their recent victory in the European Championship.
Speaking with the players and with the heads of the Russian Football Union, the President noted the development problems facing children’s and junior football in the country.
At the end of the meeting, the team’s captain presented Mr Putin with a team shirt signed by all the players who won in the European Championship.
