The message expresses satisfaction at the successful development of bilateral relations in the trade and economic, investment and energy sectors and other areas and also stresses both countries’ mutual desire to work purposefully towards peace, international security and stability, including in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region.
The document also notes that deeper cooperation between the countries, including joint efforts to combat international terrorism, will further strengthen the Russian-Saudi partnership.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who is in Saudi Arabia on a working visit, passed on the message on May 21, 2006.
