The President’s message reads in particular:

Advanced technology is a defining force in the development of modern societies today and a key factor in progress, without which there can be no effective development of the economy and scientific knowledge. Major projects such as ‘Infocom’ play a vitally important part in giving the international business community the opportunity to see for themselves the considerable scientific, technical and intellectual potential our country can offer.
I hope that the forum’s work will help make the Russian high-technology market more attractive to investors, consolidate international cooperation in this area and contribute to the successful implementation of important business and scientific initiatives”.
