The federal law is designed to modify currency regulations with respect to payments in international shipping made by transport companies.
The law provides that transport companies will receive preferential conditions when making currency transactions.
The law sanctions currency transactions between transport companies, natural persons outside of Russia, branches and representatives of Russian companies while transporting passengers and their luggage.
Transport companies receive the right to make payments in cash without using bank accounts while paying for the servicing of transport vehicles in airports and ports abroad, paying commissions on the territory of foreign states, and also while transporting passengers and their luggage.
The law also gives transport companies the right not to enter into their bank accounts the currency used when making payments through specialized organisations created by international organisations in the sphere of international transport.
