Mr Putin and Mr Moussa discussed the situation in the Middle East and in other parts of the world and also spoke about cooperation within the framework of international organisations.
Cooperation between Russia and the League of Arab States helps to cement relations with the Arab countries, Mr Putin said.
Mr Moussa expressed a high opinion of Russia’s Middle East policy, which he said was distinguished by an understanding of the realities in the region. Mr Moussa also noted his organisation’s increasing contacts with Russia and said that the League of Arab States sought to strengthen its political, economic and investment relations with Russia.
