Dmitry Medvedev signed the Federal Law On Amendments to the Russian Federation Budget Code and Various Statutes

The amendments are being made in order to guarantee a balanced federal budget, make inter-budgetary relations more effective, and improve organisation of the budget process in light of the current economic situation and the federal budget deficit forecast for 2009–2011.
