The Federal Law lifts reservations the Soviet Union included in a number of anti-terrorist agreements signed in the 1980s regarding non-recognition of the UN International Court of Justice’s jurisdiction in matters of resolution of disputes between the states-party to these agreements over the interpretation and application of their provisions.
The lifting of the reservations means that Russia can now use the mechanism of the UN International Court of Justice to settle disputes between states-party to the agreements over their interpretation and application.
