Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin reported on work in accordance with the budget policy document the President sent to the Government on March 9. Mr Kudrin said that the Government will present the main parameters of its three-year budget at the end of March and will send the draft budget to the State Duma by April 30.
Following Mr Kudrin’s report, Mr Putin instructed the Finance Ministry and the Economic Development and Trade Ministry to settle all matters concerning oil revenues in work on the draft 2008–2010 budget.
Economic Development and Trade Minister German Gref reported on the Russian delegation’s preparations for taking part in the MIPIM-2007 international exhibition of commercial real estate investment projects in France.
Industry and Energy Minister Viktor Khristenko informed the meeting about the state of negotiations on the Burgas-Alexandropoulis oil pipeline construction project.
First Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov reported on a meeting where the commercial use of the GLONASS satellite navigation system has been discussed.
Health and Social Development Minister Mikhail Zurabov reported on the implementation of measures to finance children’s summer holiday programmes.
The President instructed Mr Zurabov’s ministry to step up work on getting children’s health and holiday institutions ready for the spring and summer period.
Mr Putin also asked the Cabinet to speed up efforts to normalise the situation regarding the provision of medicines for people entitled to subsidised medicines.
