The presidents discussed specific issues of Russian-Ukrainian cooperation. The timeframe for a summit of CIS countries’ leaders scheduled for January 25–26, 2000 was confirmed during their conversation.
Earlier, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, Tajik President Emomali Rakhmonov and Azerbaijani President Geidar Aliyev also expressed their willingness to come to the Moscow summit in telephone conversations with Vladimir Putin.
