Mr Putin will chair a conference on social security for military personnel, visit a number of public places and meet Volgograd Region Governor Nikolai Maksyuta. Mr Putin will also visit the war memorial “To the Heroes of the Battle of Stalingrad” on Mamayev Hill.
Accompanying Mr Putin are Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov, Defence Minister Igor Sergeyev, Health Minister Yury Shevchenko, Culture Minister Mikhail Shvydkoi, Chairman of the State Construction, Housing and Utilities Committee Anvar Shamuzafarov, Acting Prosecutor-General Vladimir Ustinov and General Director of state-owned Rosvooruzheniye Alexei Ogaryov.
