Welcoming Mr Guterres, Mr Putin said that the relations between Russia and Portugal had acquired a new positive tone, especially from the moment that country had assumed the chairmanship of the European Union.
Mr Putin accepted the formal invitation to visit Portugal extended to him by Mr Guterres.
