G8 leaders met members of the Okinawa society and local self-government officers at the Hotel Nikko Naha Grand Castle.
The second day of the summit finished with a karate demonstration by the best masters, a lion dance and a tasting of unique Okinawa drinks. Japanese Prime Minister Yoshiro Mori received the summit leaders after the cultural programme at the ancient royal Shuri Castle, with a dinner by candlelight in the inner rooms.
