Mr Putin, accompanied by Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov, visited the construction site of the Ulitsa Akademika Yangelya metro station and key sections of the Third Ring Road, which was under construction.
In the middle of the day, the Acting President and the Mayor visited the Sozvezdiye ice skating rink in Moscow’s Yasenevo district and opened an inter-regional junior ice hockey championship.
Answering journalists’ questions, Mr Putin praised the level of management in the city. “I feel respect and I am a bit envious of all that has been done and is being done in Moscow. Muscovites and Moscow visitors should be proud of this city,” he said.
