Mr Putin voiced criticism of preparations for the spring sowing campaign.
In particular, he commented on delays in financing and the lack of fuel, lubricants and equipment for the agro-industrial complex. The Prime Minister said that by March 24 agricultural enterprises had received only 76% of allocations from the federal budget.
Mr Putin instructed the Cabinet to make sure that the money is transferred on time.
First Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin assured Mr Putin that the problem would be solved by the end of the month.
After the meeting, Mr Putin signed a decree on the procedure of using the Soft Credit Fund for agricultural needs.
Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Shcherbak, Agriculture Minister Alexei Gordeyev, First Deputy Fuel and Energy Minister Gurami Avalishvili, First Deputy Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin and Head of the Presidential Economic Directorate Anton Danilov-Danilyan attended the meeting.
