The amendments provide for changes to the main parameters of these budgets in light of the adjustment of indicators forecasting the social and economic development of the Russian Federation in 2009.
In particular, in 2009 increased funds will be allocated from the federal budget for pensions, unemployment benefits and other social payments. In addition, the amount of monetary transfers from the federal budget to regional funds to provide grants for compulsory medical insurance will increase due to planned reduction in tax revenue in 2009.
