Vladimir Putin with the families of the servicemen of the 76th Pskov Guard Paratroop Division\'s 6th Company who died in Chechnya.

Defence Minister Igor Sergeyev and Deputy Prime Minister Valentina Matviyenko also took part in the meeting.

On the night of February 29, 2000 90 servicemen of the 6th Company fought a battle near Argun against almost a 2,000-strong militants’ army. Eighty-four paratroopers were killed in the battle.
