Mr Putin congratulated Ms Megawati with her victory in the recent presidential election. He expressed his hope that long-established bilateral ties and the vast cooperation potential would considerably enhance Russian-Indonesian trade, economic and political partnership both on the bilateral and international scale.
The Presidents focused on the work of the Russian-Indonesian inter-governmental commission, and pointed out that the elaboration of its working patterns was to be finished as soon as possible.
The Presidents also discussed the anti-terrorist alliance. Mr Putin said that Indonesia and Russia had both suffered from terrorism.
