Practical questions regarding the bank’s activity were the subject of discussion at the meeting.
Mr Dmitriyev informed the President about work to draft a memorandum on the Bank’s financial and investment activity. According to Mr Dmitriyev, the Bank’s loans portfolio could quadruple by 2010 and reach a figure of 1 trillion roubles.
Also discussed at the meeting were the Bank’s principal areas of work, which include addressing the problem of infrastructure bottlenecks impeding economic growth, promoting effective use of natural resources and helping to modernise and achieve ongoing development of science-intensive industrial production.
