The head of state's message of congratulations to members of the Russian Tennis Federation reads, in particular:
“I congratulate you on this significant anniversary, the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Russian Tennis Federation.
One of Russia's oldest sporting organisations, the Federation has contributed to the development and popularisation of this beautiful and entertaining sport and made a significant contribution to the activities of the International Tennis Federation.
In many respects it is thanks to the Federation's professional approach that today Russia occupies the highest ranks in world tennis. And we are rightfully proud of the extraordinary victories of our athletes in the most prestigious competitions in the world and we want to honour their deserving trainers.
I am convinced that the Russian Tennis Federation will help bring up yet another generation of champions and that its work will continue to help popularise the value of a healthy lifestyle and strengthen international collaboration in sport”.
