In Seoul’s Lotte Hotel, President Putin gave the Order of Friendship to seven South Korean citizens for their great contribution to the development of Russian-Korean relations.
Among the recipients are Korean Foreign Minister Lee Chong-pin, who once served as ambassador to Moscow, former Foreign Minister Gong Ro-myung, National Assembly deputy Chong Je-moon, Asan Foundation President Chung Ju-yung (who founded the Hyundai Group), Lotte Hotel Company President Chang Sung-wong, Russian philologist Park Hyun-kyu (who is a co-chairman of the Korean Association of Russian Language Scholars), and Korea Estate Association head Park Kil-hoon.
