The President’s message reads, in particular:
“As we celebrate the glorious historic event that is the 200th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries, we are confident in the future of our mutually beneficial cooperation. We are confident that, despite the differences in opinion that are inevitable in an open and frank dialogue, our commitment to all-round development of our bilateral relations in every area will remain unchanged, and that our regular exchanges of views will continue to help improve the general climate in the world and ensure international security and stability.
The desire on both sides to consistently strengthen the foundations of our relations as a guarantee for continued close cooperation is truly in accordance with the fundamental interests of the Russian and American peoples”.
