Deputy Defence Minister Lyubov Kudelina addressed the meeting in the Kremlin, reporting that servicemen in Chechnya would have their basic one-and-a- half pay increased by 100%, not 50% as was formerly the case, and their field (daily) subsistence allowances would be tripled instead of doubled as now.
The President endorsed the decision.
