The President’s message reads, in particular:
“This popular arts festival, which has now become a tradition, always brings together the best artists and performers from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and many other countries. The festival is expanding its reach from year to year and its rich and diverse programme that includes art exhibitions, concerts, theatre and film premieres, is drawing in an ever bigger audience.
As a forum to showcase the achievements of our national cultures, the Vitebsk Slavic Bazaar sends out an appeal for peace, tolerance and unity and helps to expand friendly ties and develop contacts between people. The great public interest in the festival is a clear example of the mutual attraction our countries and peoples feel for each other and shows our sincere desire to strengthen our common humanitarian space”.
