The meeting participants discussed practical issues of raising the nuclear submarine Kursk. In particular, they focused on timeline, preparation works and technical specifics of the project.
Mr Putin said that after the submarine was raised and transported to the dock, experts should use new information during the investigation into the causes of the tragedy.
The nuclear submarine Kursk sank on August 12, 2000 in the Barents Sea during a naval exercise of the Northern Fleet. All 118 crewmembers died.
