Your grief is shared by all who knew Oleg Yankovsky and who even just once saw him on screen or in legendary performances at the Lenkom Theatre. He possessed a rare combination of acting talent, charm and a sharp mind. He knew how to be timeless and at the same time fully reflect his times. He conveyed the full range of human emotions in his roles, and no matter what role he played, did so with success and gave his viewers much joy.
This is how we will always remember him in our hearts. The memory of outstanding Russian actor Oleg Yankovsky will stay with us forever.”
Oleg Yankovsky, an actor at Moscow’s Lenkom Theatre, died on May 20, aged 65.
