The message said, in part:
“Russia and India have long been bound by links of friendship and fruitful cooperation, to be further invigorated by your forthcoming visit to Russia. I am sure that Russian-Indian strategic partnership will only further expand our bilateral relations for the benefit of both nations, global stability and security.”
“For decades our open and trust-based cooperation has revealed similar vital national interests, mutual adherence to the ideals of peace and democracy and the desire to achieve social and economic progress,” says the message to K R Narayan. “I am certain that this bodes well for further progress in versatile Russian-Indian relations towards ever higher levels of strategic partnership which have been realised through our joint efforts.”
