President Vladimir Putin chaired a conference on the development of diamond production in Russia

Before the beginning of a conference on the development of diamond production in Russia. Vyacheslav Shtyrov, president of the ALROSA company, is being presented with a badge “Merited Builder of Russia” for his contribution to rebuilding the regions of Yakutia regions hit by the flood.

The conference discussed, among other things, property issues related to ALROSA’s development. It was stressed that the measures taken to develop the company should meet state interests.

The situation on the global diamond market was also discussed.

Vyacheslav Shtyrov, ALROSA’s head, said that the company intended to increase diamond production and processing in future.
