The presidents discussed the situation evolving in South Asia. The Russian President informed Jacques Chirac of his recent conversation with Atal Bihari Vajpayee, India’s Prime Minister. Vladimir Putin stressed that the international community, which unanimously condemned the December 13th terrorist attack on the Indian Parliament, must take resolute measures to neutralise terrorist groups operating from Pakistan.
