While speaking at the business forum the Russian head of state noted that the economic potential and positive business climate in Russia and Indonesia must have a more tangible outcome, and that business-related contacts must become more intensive.
The President of Russia offered to help Indonesia build a nuclear power plant on the island of Java and to effectively exploit its natural resources. In addition, Russia is ready to offer Indonesia various types of civil and specialized aircraft technology. According to Vladimir Putin, one of the most promising fields of cooperation could be the Air Launch project, a project that will oversee the launch of telecommunications and various scientific satellites from the island of Biak. The project is designed to create internationally competitive launching conditions for a lightweight transport system capable of launching satellites into any terrestrial orbit.
One outcome of the meeting between the two countries' business representatives was the conclusion of agreements that amount to about four billion USD.
