The Russian President’s message reads, in part:
“The year that has passed since our meeting in Havana has demonstrated vividly that if there is a good will and a constructive approach, we can resolve whatever problems may arise in our bilateral relationship and move forward despite some difficulties.
“Let me express my belief that by relying on a close friendship, coupled with the positive historical experience of their relations and shared approaches to a whole number of international issues, our two countries will continue to develop fruitful cooperation for the benefit of the people of Russia and Cuba.”
