The message pointed to the high level of bilateral contacts achieved in every field and expressed confidence that relations of friendship and cooperation between Russia and Jordan would continue to deepen in the interests of the peoples of the two countries and for the strengthening of peace and stability in the region.
Sergei Prikhodko, deputy head of the Presidential Executive Office and head of the Presidential Foreign Policy Directorate, conveyed the message, as well as a souvenir gift, to the King on January 27 in Amman. In the course of the conversation that followed, the King and Mr Prikhodko discussed the Middle East conflict, the situation around Iraq, and some matters relating to Russian-Jordanian cooperation.
