The President’s message of congratulations reads, in particular:
“Over these years, the Chinese people have achieved outstanding successes in social and economic development, science, culture and other areas of public life. China has become one of the world’s most influential countries and plays an important part in building good-neighbourly relations and maintaining stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region and throughout the world as a whole.
It is pleasing to see that Russian-Chinese relations today are characterised by strategic and trusting partnership and have attained an unprecedented high level. This is clearly evidenced by the immense success of the Year of China in Russia, which is currently taking place.
I have warm recollections of our meetings, which have always been characterised by a frank spirit and great practical results. I am sure that consistent work to implement the agreements we have reached will guarantee the continuation of our common policy of intensifying our multidimensional bilateral cooperation in the long term”.
