The President’s message of congratulations reads, in particular:
“Our country, which played an important part in the historic process of reunification, sincerely values the increasing level of mutual trust and good-neighbourly relations between Russia and Germany. Our active political dialogue and constantly expanding trade and economic and humanitarian ties enable us to make an important contribution to overall European and global develop and to encourage promising joint projects and public initiatives.
We greatly value the consistent course of increasing bilateral cooperation set by Germany’s political leadership, business community and public. I am sure that the upcoming round of intergovernmental consultations in Wiesbaden will give a great boost to the strategic partnership between our countries, and our close cooperation in regional and international affairs will serve the cause of building a united and flourishing Europe and a safe and just world order”.
