The full text of Mr Putin’s telegram reads:
“It was with great sorrow that I learned of the terrorist attack in Karachi that has caused numerous victims.
This villainous crime is yet another tragic confirmation of the need for the entire international community to join forces in combating international terrorism and extremism.
I ask you to convey my most sincere condolences to the families of the victims and my sympathy to all those who have suffered as a result of this brutal act of terror”.
