Discussions focused above all on ways for the World Bank to take part in financing literacy programmes in Russia, and also World Bank initiatives aimed at reining in rising food prices.
Mr Zoellick’s visit to Russia comes after a meeting of the finance ministers and Central Bank chiefs of the G-8 countries on June 13–14 in Osaka.
